Guided Tours

Day: Sunday
Port: Kalymnos
Excursion: Highlights of Kalymnos island
Duration: 4 hours 30 mins
On board price: € 25 per person
On this island of sponge divers, we begin our tour with a visit to the Monastery of Agios Savvas, dedicated to the Patron Saint of the Island. The Monastery, with its magnificent bell tower, the cross-shaped church with round domes  and its white-washed chapels, stands proudly on a hill near Pothia, offering a superb view of the island. Continuing through the west coast of the island, we will admire the quaint villages of Pothia, Hora and Panormos on the way to a beautiful beach for a refreshing swim in Kalymnos’ clear waters. Here you will also enjoy a complimentary refreshment. On the way back to the ship, we will make a stop at a traditional sponge workshop, where local experts will demonstrate the fascinating procedure of sponge collecting and processing.

Port: Bodrum
Excursion: Blue Water voyage & the Castle of St. Peter
Duration: 5 hours 30 mins

In Bodrum, the popular Turkish holiday resort, renowned in antiquity under its ancient name, Halicarnassus, our first stop will be at St. Peters Castle and the Museum of underwater Archaeology. The castle, built by the Knights Hospitaller in 1402, and was turned into a Museum for underwater discoveries of ancient shipwrecks in 1962, and today houses a vast collection of amphoras, ancient glass, clay, iron and bronze. We will also visit local shops with artifacts & handicrafts reflecting the Turkish culture, before sailing on a traditional Gullet along the Turkish coast. This mini cruise will make stops at two beautiful bays where we will swim and dive into the crystal clear waters. The price includes the entrance fee to the castle and museum, the Gullet cruise, lunch on board and a refreshment.

Port: Kos
Excursion: Asklepion, island Tour and Kaiki BBQ
Duration: 6 hours 45 mins
On board price: € 68 per person including lunch
On Kos, the birthplace of Hippocrates, the father of Medicine, our first stop will be the Asklepion, the oldest and most famous archaeological site on the island. Your guided tour of this famous centre of healing in the ancient world, will give you an in-depth account of this remarkable site. Then on to Zia, a small, traditional, mountain village, from where you can admire a panoramic view of the Aegean Sea and the islands of Kalymnos and Pserimos. The village is an arts and craft centre and it has many small shops, where you can also find the famous local thyme and honey. At Kamari, Captain Yiannis and his crew will sail you away to the lovely bay of “Kefalos” with his traditional Greek Kaiki. Here, once the kaiki docks, you will have free time to have fun at this private beach, playing, swimming and snorkelling while your BBQ lunch will be prepared for you. On the way back to the port a short stop will be made at Antimachia, the village located in the centre of the island where you will visit the 200 year old Antimachia windmill and house. Of all the windmills on Kos, this is the last operational mill left, showing the agricultural past of the island.

Port: Mykonos Town
Excursion: The sacret site of Ancient Delos
Duration: 4 hours

Don’t miss this highly important walking tour around Delos, with its open-air archaeological site, which we can reach by a short ferry shuttle from Mykonos. The small, uninhabited island of Delos lies just a frew miles from Mykonos and is one of the most important mythological, historical and archaeological sites of the Mediterranean sea. Delos was once the religious center for the entire Aegean and according to mythology, it was the birthplace of Apollo, the God of music, sun, light, harmony and beauty. Pilgrims from all over Greece and other countries came to pay their respects to the God, bringing their gifts and offerings, making the island a highly respected sanctuary, a position it retained throughout antiquity. In the early 19th century, excavations uncovered the ruins of a whole city - one of the most important group of ancient remains are the Naxos marble lions, the three beautiful temples dedicated to Apollo and the various houses with their splendid mosaic floors. Today, this site is considered an outstanding universal treasure, and is included in the World Heritage list of UNESCO. Transfer from the ship to the town is included and the excursion ends in Mykonos town.

Port: Ermoupolis, Syros
Excursion: Highlights of Syros island
Duration: 3 hours
On board price: € 42 per person
Hermoupolis or Ermoupolis, the capital of Syros Island, was given its name to honour the God of commerce, Hermes. Syros was a great commercial centre, with shipyards, the first hospital, and the first high school of modern Greece. During our tour we will see most of Syros beauty and charms created by its unspoiled landscape, authenticity and traditional villages. Syros provides a combination of the typical Cycladic architecture with the neoclassical influence which gives a unique and beautiful result that will charm every visitor. assing through the villages of Vari and Chroousa, we arrive at the splendid Benaki Mansion, a grand house once owned by one of the most prominent and renowned families in Greece, now currently used as the Town Hall. We then proceed to the seaside village of Finikas after which we continue to Giallissas village, the most popular beach resort on the island. There will be free time for sunbathing or a swim at one of the beaches before we return to the ship.

A: The package will not be available at the discounted price. Subject to space, the package will be made available on the day of embarkation only, at no more than 20% discount.
